Abstract

\They investigated the nature of the concept of the public sphere is the concept of a dialogue, that is, it is based on a shared space together, face-to-face dialogue with each other as equal participants individual basis. Media public sphere is a discursive space formed by the media, the discourse space constitute a unique contemporary popular news, embodies the characteristics of a national media culture and the spread style. The outstanding feature of the media in the public domain is public, that discourse object participating subjects have the characteristics of public property and the free exchange and participation. The mass media as a platform to inform the public of information and exchange of views, the public is increasingly fancy it public, the public nature was also seen as an important standard measure of media value. In China, the public nature of the mass media as the mouthpiece of the people has a more important significance. However, due to the \If they can use other known concept of the media with images, and the selection of indicators for evaluation of its public level, that will increase media awareness and improve media ecological environment and promote the development of the public sphere has played a very large role. Therefore, as a gap in research on quantitative methods, the research will be of great significance for the media, the public nature of the evaluation index is also very necessary. This paper consists of four parts. The first chapter has presented the concept of a public nature, and a brief introduction to the public nature of the significance of the media to study the public is necessary. The purpose of this study two, the first is the public nature of the media related theoretical research to sort out and draw the logical basis of the theoretical support of the media, the public nature of the evaluation index generated; second is to explore the Chinese mass media, public characteristics and establish the media evaluation index. The second chapter deals with the media, the public and the media in the public domain to build relationships. Relationship from the mass media and the public sphere, we summed up the characteristics of the media, and the analysis of the mass media on the reconstruction of the public domain, pointed out that the media should be combined with the media in which the social environment. Although these studies did not involve quantitative evaluation, but the results of these studies to the media public evaluation index put forward a strong theoretical support. The fourth chapter is the focus of the article, combined on the basis of the review of the literature the reality media ecological environment in China, from the market, journalistic professionalism, with the right of the function of the media and the media near four-level indicators to evaluation media public and described theoretically, in order to clear the logical link between the four indicators and media public nature. After the establishment of the four-level evaluation index, this paper also formed part of the secondary indicators and questionnaire design and evaluation methods are briefly described. The final conclusion part, pointed out that some of the media, the public nature of the evaluation study of the application of direction, and illustrates the shortcomings of this article. The theoretical framework of this study involves the public nature of the theory, the theory of the public sphere, the media market transition theory, theory of journalism, media functional theory and the media near the right theory.
