Terminal-sensitive submunition is a kind of smart ammunition which can detect, identify and attack targets by itself. It has high damage efficiency because it has mult-mode detector, intelliqent decision and high efficiency warhead which can attack target’s coping. At present, there is not an effective way to defense the attack of terminal-sensitive submunition. After study terminal-sensitive submunition’s work principle and work procedure, this paper probe the feasibility and principle by which using passive countermeasure to lower it’s combat-effectiveness. At first, using millimeter wave chaft clouds and millimeter wave false targets to jam millimeter wave radar and millimeter wave radiometer, because millimeter millimeter wave chaft cloud’s echo can jam millimeter wave radar’s distance measuring system, attenuation can make mult-target in millimeter wave distance measuring radar, chaft clouds could shade target; as a supplement, millimeter wave false target can lower target’s damage probability. Next, using infrared smoke、surface-type infrared decoy to jam double color infrared detector, because infrared smoke can jam infrared detector’s target-background contrast; infrared smoke can jam infrared imaging detector’s modulation transfer function. Infrared decoy can lower terminal-sensitive submunition’s using thermal radition detect target probability. To jam terminal-sensitive submunition, we make these methods into a system. At last, this paper probe the passive countermeasure evaluation method which jam terminal-sensitive submunition.
