Objective: To compare the smear layer exists or not resistant Enterococcus faecalis effects of allicin and calcium hydroxide, select the appropriate root canal disinfection drugs to provide experimental evidence for the existing clinical conditions. Method: select 112 orthodontic extraction single root canal molar, were randomly divided into four experimental groups (the allicin group A, allicin group B, Group A calcium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide group B), 4 control group (control group A and control group B, the positive control group A, group B) and positive control groups of 14 teeth extracted teeth pulp, pulpectomy, root canal prepare to smear layer group in accordance with the experimental groups, with 1% NaClO solution with 17? TA solution alternately flushing the root canal smear layer group reserved flushed with saline, using a slow speed diamond bur interception 6mm middle root. Specimen tooth establish Enterococcus faecalis root canal infection model, 56 specimens of teeth (experimental group) root canal were placed the allicin cotton twist and calcium hydroxide paste, the other 56 specimens of teeth (control group) placed within the root canal physiological saline cotton twist. All specimens were placed in anaerobic incubator culture in medicine before sealing, sealing medicine 3 days and sealing medicine 7 days, each set of four samples were taken teeth grinding root canal the inner dentin powder placed BHI broth medium and cultured for 72 hours, measuring the absorbance. Meanwhile, each taking a root Enterococcus faecalis growth the line electron microscope within the dentinal tubules. Results: 1 to 3 days of the experiment, the smear layer existence, allicin and calcium hydroxide can effectively inhibit Enterococcus faecalis and Enterococcus faecalis, but can not kill. Remove the smear layer group, inhibition of calcium hydroxide the Enterococcus faecalis better than allicin (p lt; 0.05); smear layer group allicin inhibits Enterococcus faecalis is better than calcium hydroxide (p lt; 0.05) 2. Experiment seven days, the smear layer existence, the the allicin group could kill Enterococcus faecalis root canal. Remove the smear layer group, calcium hydroxide root canal can kill E. faecalis, bactericidal effect allicin No significant differences (p gt; 0.05); smear layer group, calcium hydroxide group were Enterococcus faecalis exists, garlic inhibits Enterococcus faecalis is better than calcium hydroxide (p lt; 0.05) Conclusion: 1. smear layer group reserved three days sealing medicine, allicin and calcium hydroxide were unable to completely kill the infected root canal Enterococcus faecalis . The first seven days of the sealing medicine, allicin can effectively kill Enterococcus faecalis in infected root canal. 2 to 3 days to remove the smear layer group seal and medicine, the bactericidal effect of calcium hydroxide than allicin. Seven days of the sealing medicine, allicin and calcium hydroxide can effectively kill Enterococcus faecalis in infected root canal. 3 in the presence of the smear layer, the allicin anti faecalis effect than calcium hydroxide.
