Abstract


Since money appeared, it has been playing an important role in human society. After reforms and opening up, with the rapid development of commodity economy, the status and role of money go prominent increasingly. Nowadays, however, various social signs show that some incorrect money concepts stand on the way of the healthy development of economy, and impact on the stability and harmony of our society.This thesis aims at exploring the construction of money concept which adjusts to socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics. This construction cannot stay away from the sublation and absorption of traditional money concepts, so the social and cultural root causes of the formation, the basic characteristics and the respective advantages and disadvantages of Chinese and western traditional money concepts are firstly studied; furthermore, based on the original Marxist-Leninist classic, Marxist money concept is recapitulated. Thus theory pre-preparation is adequately made for the comprehensive construction of money concept which adjusts to socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics.On this basis, by deeply analyzing various incorrect money concepts in our society, and according to the useful exploration from domestic and abroad scholars, this thesis boldly attempts to construct new money concepts from three aspects: guiding principles, basic contents, and necessary measures. On theoretical level, an active and healthy, scientific and rational money concept is thought to be constructed, which complies with the requirements of the times, adapts to the demands of Chinese social development, adequately inherits the essences of traditional culture, and accords to Marxist basic principles, so as to provide a reasonable and lasting motivation and intellectual support for our economic development and social process.
