Abstract

Objective: To study the DC heat treatment in the simulated oral temperature environment, the impact of nine kinds of orthodontic mechanical properties of nickel-titanium arch wires. Methods: 9 different sizes commonly used in clinical nickel titanium arch wire (0.016 \\) super-elastic nickel titanium wire, 0.019 * 0.025 \maximum deformation in three-point bending experiments using SANS microcomputer controlled electronic tensile testing machine records arch wire heat treatment after the stress-strain curve for 3mm measuring comparative bow filament uploaded to 0.5mm, 1.0mm, 2.5mm and unloading to 2.5mm maximum load stress value, and calculate the shape variables 2.5mm lag value and the whole process stress values, observed changes in the stress-strain curve before and after the heat treatment of each group archwire all results using origin 7.5 software paired t-test analysis statistical analysis Results: 1.9 arch wire, heat treatment before loading force descending order: YY0.019 * 0.025 \* 0.025 thermally activated nickel titanium wire gt; Tomy0.018 * 0.025 \super-elastic nickel titanium wire gt; 3M 0.016 \wire maximum load force significantly increased, and extraordinary 0.018 * 0.025 \in descending order of the work force: YY0.019 * 0.025 \* 0.025 \elastic nickel titanium wire gt; 3M 0.016 \nickel titanium wire work force declined, the difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05) groups showed no significant difference. 3.9 arch wire, before heat treatment 2.5mm form variable lag value descending order : 3M0.019 * 0.025 \silk gt; extraordinary 0.018 * 0.025 \thermally activated nickel titanium wire; After DC heat treatment, IMD 0.016 \nickel titanium wire lag value significantly increased, the difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05). Conclusion: The mechanical properties of orthodontic nickel-titanium arch wires is determined by the arch wire size and type of arch wire material. Arch wire the larger the size of the arch wire into the slot to applied force (load force) and the arch wire (work force) the greater the force acting on the teeth; compared with the size of the nickel-titanium arch filament carrier force and work force, LH lt ; thermally activated nickel titanium wire lt; super-elastic nickel titanium wire. 2 DC after heat treatment, the change in 9 groups orthodontic mechanical properties of nickel-titanium arch wires of the same lack of regularity, but the hyperelastic have varying degrees of loss. Heat treatment the number of changes in the mechanical properties of nickel-titanium arch wires additive does not exist. DC heat treatment does not improve the work force of orthodontic nickel-titanium arch wires, prompt clinical avoid by the DC heat treatment to change the performance of the arch wire should be based on the need for medical treatment, choose a different size and material type of arch wire.
