1 Background and Purpose retinitis pigmentosa (retinitis pigmentosa, RP) is a chronic progressive sexual photoreceptor cells and pigment epithelial cell degeneration causes night blindness and visual field defects inherited cause of blindness , typical fundus showed optic disc color sallow , retinal vascular stenosis , bone cell-like pigment spread . Vision, ERG (electroretinogram, ERG) and optical coherence tomography (optical coherence tomography, OCT) has an important role in the early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of this disease . So far , the disease is still a lack of effective treatment . With the development of genetic engineering, biotechnology , and animal models , retinal transplantation and gene therapy is expected to be the future RP patients the best choice . RP can occur in any age group , but the more common 20 to 40 -year-old juvenile onset is rare . In this paper, through observation and analysis in our hospital found two cases of typical adolescent patients with RP , to investigate the clinical characteristics of adolescents RP , raise the awareness of young people of RP . 2 Materials and methods of observation and analysis of Ophthalmology , the First Affiliated Hospital , Zhejiang University School of Medicine confirmed two cases of young patients with RP , Find U.S. National Library of PubMed , the the Chinese HowNet CNKI, VIP journals online database literature , a review of the literature and case analysis . Two cases of patients with symptoms of the results and conclusions of this article , perimetry , visual electrophysiological examination RP diagnosis , the results of the OCT , fundus examination and photography has its own special performance . Perimetry and ERG examination can help the juvenile RP diagnosis , differential diagnosis and condition assessment . The teenagers RP pending further research in the pathogenesis , treatment and in-depth .
