Abstract

Now the society is an information society. Information are very import for the individuals or countries. For a country’s national security, this is especially important. Computer networks are an important way to access to information. As an important technology, the development of Network Management have a great impact on the network, and it has become an indispensable part of modern information network. The so-called Network Management, is to state one way or another to adjust the network so the network can be a normal and efficient operation. Its purpose is clear, is to make a variety of network resources more efficient use. When the network fails, it is to make timely reports and to deal with, and coordinate and maintain the network’s efficient operation. With the development of the network, whether a proprietary network or a public one, are the characteristics of regional, centralized management for a large-scale network is impossible. The relative geographical dispersion, the impact of geo-environmental factors as well as the relative location is not fixed, for the monitoring of network equipment has brought a series of problems. Under the complex network environment and the geographical environment, how can we monitoring the various equipment fails? Whether it will be in time to deal with as well as the current network is running efficiently? These problems will greatly impact us to make the correct management decision-making. Another computer network is characterized by the development of the scale and magnitude of increasing complexity, how to achieve the maintenance of the normal operation of the network to improve network performance objectives, are also increasingly becoming the hot issues and tough construction of the network management system.GIS is a decision support system, it has all the characteristics of information systems. The main difference between GIS and other information systems is the information which its storage and processing is have had been geocodeds, the location and the location of the features of the property has become an important part of information retrieval. It is a mapping software which used to descript of "where" the information and descript of "What is this" information.GIS is such a system which composed of computer systems, geographical data and users. And through the integration of geographic data, storage, retrieval, and analysis of operations to generate and output a variety of geographic information, then used to land use, resource management, environmental monitoring, transportation, economic construction, urban planning and administration of government departments to provide new knowledge for the engineering design and planning, management decision-making services. We can get the concluded that the definition of geographic information system composed of two parts. On the one hand, GIS is a science, a science of an emerging cross-disciplinary which is described, storage, analysis and output of spatial information theory and methods; On the other hand, GIS is a technical system which based on the geo-spatial database, using geographic analysis, then timely provision of a wide range of space and dynamics of geographic information, for geographical research and geographical services of computer technology in decision-making system. The whole paper is divided into six parts. The first chapter is introduction which describes the source of the topic, background, current situation at home and abroad etc, analyses and explains the purposes and meanings of the research. The second chapter is introduction Network Management System. Analysis the current problems in Network Management System, as well as the main cause of these problems. The third chapter is devoted to the development of Geographic Information Systems. 80’s, GIS theory, methods and techniques gradually matured and begun to enter the stage of promotion and popularization. And now with the development of GIS and computer technology, the secondary development of GIS is become simpler than before. The last part of this chapter is analysis and research OpenMap. It is such a GIS which is composed by JavaBean components. It can be joined the Bean in accordance with the needs of random to show that Data. At the same time, it provides a number of interfaces for developers to call. The forth chapter analyzes the feasibility and necessity of Geographic Information System applications in the Network Management System. The fifth chapter describes the application of OpenMap used in Network Management System which is the core of this article. In the way of the two-dimensional images or even three-dimensional image, the method which clearly shows the situation of all equipment and utilization of networks in the current network is bound to lead to more Intuitive and understand information for the managers. Using the geographic information systems as the base of network topology, on the one hand, can provide a fast, convenient way and an important basis for managers to make a decision appropriately, on the other hand will also change some shortcomings in the traditional network management system, such as interface not friendly, poor interoperability , integration difficulties. The final conclusions of the research results are given as well as the application of analysis of possible problems and solutions.
