Abstract


Correct detection and extraction of traffic flow parameters is an important basis for the monitoring and management of expressway . Traffic flow parameters detect a variety of ways , electromagnetic induction coil , ultrasonic detector , microwave detector and infrared detector , the fastest growing video traffic flow parameters detection method . Because it has a large detection area , flexible system settings do not affect road access and other prominent advantages , has become a hot research topic in the transport sector , will also construct a new model of the future traffic management . Based on digital image processing and computer vision technology , carried out in-depth study of the key technologies in the system . In the background model , object segmentation , shadow removal, and target tracking algorithm of method . System design , taking into account the current traffic areas of the existing monitoring equipment , designed to coincide with the video image acquisition module video detection server video detection terminal \The results of this research embodied as follows : key algorithm , target segmentation algorithm improved target segmentation algorithm based on time average method and the statistical model background ; proposed target tracking based on regional characteristics and the movement of the Kalman filter target tracking algorithm ; regional characteristics , combined RGB color histogram matching algorithm based on the centroid distance ; shadow removal based on the gradient operator HSV model for the current study and optimization . System development , involved in the development of video detection server and video detection terminal , and independently tracking algorithm part of R \u0026 D and system configuration module . The proposed algorithm to conduct field tests in highway traffic flow parameters , data results show that the parameters of the traffic flow with high detection accuracy can be further deduced to practical engineering . In addition, the factors that may affect system performance in-depth analysis , and cameras optimal installation angle .
