Abstract


Purpose With the further deepening of reform of medical students during the school medical expenses widespread concern. In recent years, many colleges and universities with free medical care plus health insurance model, designed by schools, insurance companies, individual students to share medical expenses, to ease the overburdened school free medical problem. In this paper, the Medicare status quo of college students in the school during the hospitalization costs and disease-specific health care costs analysis to understand the students' medical expenses consumption, and explore its regularity, and thus provide the basis for the development of a more rational and effective college student health safeguards. Methods The Taiyuan college students as research subjects. Source is divided into two parts: the part of the site investigation, Taiyuan colleges and universities in accordance with the Comprehensive medical and other classes are divided into three by simple random sampling and stratified sampling method, collected a total of seven institutions 2800 2004 -2007 level college students on-site research. The survey questionnaire of 2800, 2653 valid questionnaires, the recovery rate was 94.75%. Another part of the students in a university hospital cost data for three years (January 2005 - December 2007), from the university hospital and a school student medical management office, a total of 520 copies of the data. All survey data using EpiData3.0 dual entry computer, the establishment of a database, logic checks, collated, SPSSl2.0 a variety of statistical analysis. Results ① college students low degree of awareness of national public health services, fully aware of only 2.06%, 57.35% of the students did not understand this system; medical service satisfaction high expectations are not satisfied with the number of people accounted for 72.3%, far much higher than the overall national level (the Fourth National Health Services Survey 44%) are not satisfied with the medical services; satisfaction and lower health insurance, 33.1% of students believe that no effect of health insurance on their own. (2) to participate in a number of medical insurance 70.7%, which fully charge d'affaires by the school insurance accounted for 94.5% of the total surveyed. Uninsured, 40.5% of the students had never considered this issue, students accounted for 19.7% of uninsured due to financial difficulties. (3) hospital cost per inpatient 4095.96 yuan, lower than the findings of Guangdong University students hospitalized medical expenses (4772), higher than that of students in a university hospital costs in Yunnan's findings (3095). (4) by factor analysis and regression analysis, the factors affecting the consumption of college students health insurance followed by economic resources, insurance consumer experiences, needs and motivations. The personal disposable economic resources need to be considered prior to and income constraints college students to buy health insurance. Conclusions of the medical security system of college students into the national social security scheme, choose the appropriate level of funding and support mode, especially for poor students to have special measures; enhance the college students of insurance and health awareness, improve service awareness and sense of competition of the medical staff for needs to carry out services, guide students seeking behavior; Undergraduate major diseases medical assistance system should be established, and effectively improve the level of medical care of university students.
