Abstract


Zhang Chengzhi is a modern writer of great value for research. Reviewing his writing, one can find that idealistim is the consistent theme. This theme embraces his profound thought toward life, times, society, culture, nation, etc., showing his everlasting call of life’s value and idealistic life. The distinctive artistic world created by Zhang promotes people to soberly and positively realize and change reality and think about the true value of life. This paper tries to discuss idealism and the aesthetic style in Zhang’s writing thoroughly and systematically from the meaning of idealism with several specific works.This paper discusses Zhang’s idealism from the following aspects:The first part is about the formation of Zhang’s idealism, aiming at showing that the writer’s personal experience and the consequent special lifestyle are its important influential factors.The second part exploits the expressive form of idealism reflected in Zhang’s writing texts from four aspects. And his idealism shines upon reflecting the writer’s expectation toward good life and long-lasting call of life’s value.The third part puts emphasis on the stylistic features and idealistic expression of Zhang Chengzhi’s work. All through the analysis of his work in different periods of time, we can easily find out the main characters in both stylistic and spiritual exploration from some certain points of view.This paper, based on previous research of Zhang’s writing, offers a more integrated and overall view of Zhang’s texts in the light of his idealism, making every effort to help people have a better understanding of Zhang’s works and give more attention.
