Abstract


Objective:To evaluate the clinical effects of the Oxidized regenerated cellulose (Interceed TC7) after pelvic surgery. Methods:Select 256 patients with ovarian chocolate cyst, ovarian teratoma, simple ovarian cyst, tubal pregnancy and chronic pelvic inflammation with fallopian tube lesions from January,2010 to Mart,2011. Patients were randomly divided into Interceed group and sodium hyaluronate group and received specified operation. At the end of the operation, we placed a piece of Interceed on the area which need be protected against adhesion of the 126 patients in Interceed group and sodium hyaluronate was applied to the injured surface of 130 patients before closure. Compared the gynecological b-sonography, postoperative abdominal pain in number the pregnancy rates of the two groups after operation and adhesive conditions of the patients who received second look laparoscopy due to various reasons. Results:The chance of the abnormality of the gynecological b-sonography, postoperative abdominal pain and the postoperative pregnancy rates of the two groups had significant differences (P<0.05). There was less adhesion in Interceed group than that of sodium hyaluronate group in second look laparoscopy and it had no statistical significance because of the small number of the cases. Conclusion:Interceed was found to be effective in reducing the rate of abdominal pain and helpful in increasing the pregnancy rate after pelvic operation, but the golden criteria to evaluate the clinical effect of Interceed is an adhesion observation in second look laparoscopy. It needs further study.
