Abstract


Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems at the transmitting end and the receiving end of the system using multiple antennas . It can be in the same frequency band , to provide the information transmitted in parallel in several radio channels , and greatly increase the system capacity. Currently , the problem is to limit the MIMO antenna technology in a cellular mobile communications and an important factor 3G/B3G applications . With MIMO technology development, applied research antenna MIMO system has become very urgent, but also has theoretical significance and practical value. This paper systematically and in-depth overview of the MIMO diversity performance metrics of spatial diversity , pattern diversity , polarization diversity of application scenarios in depth , and then based on MIMO system antenna design requirements and characteristics , combined with the current typical new MIMO system antenna unit and antenna array , a detailed analysis of their design ideas, points out the development direction of MIMO antennas proposed MIMO multi- antenna design ideas and technical approaches . Then on the polarization diversity MIMO antenna research , systematic and complete study and design of MIMO polarization diversity antennas. Simulation design dual-polarized antenna , triple polarized antenna , vertical polarization state pattern reconfigurable antennas, have shown better performance. Pattern reconfigurable antenna is a MIMO antenna design new ideas . Finally, we discuss three-dimensional scattering environment , Kronecker channel model of spatial fading correlation antenna directivity and signal to noise ratio , simulation uniform circular array , linear array, the array of rectangular multi-input multi -output system channel capacity . First integrated antenna directivity is given to the capacity of the channel , that is, when the main lobe of a directional antenna aligned with the incoming wave when the signal to noise ratio caused by the directional antenna directivity increased by more than the correlation coefficient of the negative impact on the capacity , so that the channel overall capacity than omni-directional antenna . Directional antenna elements , the stronger the greater channel capacity . On how to design a MIMO system transmitting and receiving antenna array system's capacity to obtain further gain practical significance.
