Abstract


Objective:To evaluate the possible difference of pancreatic fistula relative to var-ious methods of pancreaticojejunal reconstruction. To choose the safe operation.M-ethods:The clinical data of 75 cases of pancreaticoduodenectomy performed be twe-en May 2005 and May 2010 was analyzed retrospectively. Fifty-two cases wer e p-erformed pancreaticojejunal end-to-end anastomosis. and 23 cases were perform ed end-to-side"mucosa-to-mucosa"anastomosis. Five cases and 70 cases were perfor medexternal and internal transanastomotic drainage respectively. Results: The overal 1 inci-dence of pancreatic fistula was 17.3%. The fistula rate following end-to-end anast-omois was 17.3%. The fistula rate of mucosa-to-mucosa anastomois was 17.4 %.The results showed that there were no significant difference of incidences of pan creatic fistula among the two methods of pancreaticojejunal reconstruction (P>0.05).Conc-lusion:The same one method of pancreaticojejunal reconstruction is not suit able f-or all cases. Surgeon’s experience seems to be an important factor. To decre ase of theincidence of pancreatic fistula needs to choose one method suitable for t he cor-responding cases.
