Abstract

Wireless sensor networks, as the world's top ten technologies of the future, are more and more people's attention. In recent years, with the digital circuitry, wireless communications, MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanism-System, MEMS) technologies such as the rapid development of these technologies developed based on wireless sensor networks has become a hot research field. It is in the military, medical, household and other fields have broad applications. Firstly, the characteristics of the wireless sensor network was introduced, while the wireless sensor networks with traditional wireless networks were compared, the wireless sensor network from a network structure, composition and protocol stack structure nodes and other aspects were introduced. Wireless sensor networks to measure the merits of the most important indicator of the energy consumption of the network characteristics. We analyzed the energy consumption of wireless sensor network source, and the energy source for the modeling and analysis modules. For energy source, from a single node and the network as a whole were low-power analysis and design. And focused for wireless sensor network MAC protocol and routing protocol, and finally from hibernation mechanism, the power control mechanism, data fusion mechanism, cross-layer design mechanism and dynamic energy management and dynamic voltage regulation and other aspects of the design of a low-power Analysis and discussion. In the analysis of several currently more common wireless sensor network routing protocols, and pointed out that the inadequacies of several protocols, we propose a cluster-based multi-hop wireless sensor network routing structure algorithm THRL protocol. THRL protocol is a hierarchical routing protocol algorithm for wireless sensor networks, it was adopted in cluster head election considering the residual energy, multi-hop communication between cluster heads, cluster splitting and data fusion technology to achieve a balanced energy consumption of the whole network resistance, and thus prolong the network lifetime. THRL protocol run is round (round) as a unit, each round is divided into clusters phase, path establishment phase and data transfer phase in three phase. In clustering stage, the wireless sensor network nodes according to certain algorithms themselves elected cluster head node, and then these cluster head node on the network statement to the news. By analyzing the received signal strength, select the node to join the cluster and inform the cluster head node, the cluster head node and then use TDM-based approach to send data to the node assigned time slice. In the path set-up phase, the sink node (Sink Node) periodically send path setup message, built from the source node to the sink node path, and the path setup message also contains information such as the current network tasks. By cluster head nodes broadcast path setup message, each cluster head node to the sink node path relations are established based on the gradient. In the data transfer phase, the node according to the path setup message contains the monitoring tasks, when the target region to meet mission requirements event occurs, the node starts sending data sensing data. Cluster head node for data fusion, choose a maximum gradient path forwarding data. To avoid distance closer to the sink node cluster head node \Finally, we also develop a routing protocol in OMNeT platform simulation. But also on several other traditional wireless sensor network routing protocol simulation, and the results were compared and analyzed. As can be seen from the simulation results, compared to several other traditional wireless sensor network routing protocols, using THRL wireless sensor network protocol structure of the energy consumed in smaller networks are also better energy efficiency more.
