Purpose: To observe Songling Xuemaikang capsule on the treatment and its mechanism to acute cerebral infarction by detection of clinical patients’serum adiponectin,plasma endothelin and lipid levels.Methods:90 cases of acute cerebral infarction patients in Shenyang First People’s Hospital, Department of Neurology in July 2009～June 2010 were randomly divided into two groups; Observation group and control group each for 45 patients. Observation group and control group were all given routine therapy. Meanwhile observation group was given Songling Xuemaikang capsule, 1.5, 3 times a day orally 3 months. Venous blood was collected before treatment and three months after treatment in both groups. Separately it was measured by ELISA method for serum adiponectin, radioimmunoassay for plasma endothelin, automatic biochemical analyzer for total cholesterol (TC), triacylglycerol (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C).Results: Before treatment observation group and control group neurological deficit score, serum adiponectin, plasma endothelin, TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C were:21.98±7.03,23.51±7.23;8.81±0.98μg/ml,8.95±1.37μg/ml; 60.23±8.85ng/L,58.93±11.28ng/L;4.99±1.22mmol/L,4.94±1.39mmol/L; 3.16±0.92mmol/L,3.18±0.99mmol/L;1.32±0.58mmol/L,1.25±0.49mmol/L; 3.37±0.69mmol/L,3.42±0.86mmol/L.There was no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05).Three months after treatment,the corresponding data were 13.38±6.64,17.20±7.53;11.18±1.32μg/ml,10.59±1.61μg/ml; 46.37±9.55ng/L,47.70±11.83ng/L;3.59±1.06mmol/L,3.94±1.32mmol/L; 2.05±0.76mmol/L,2.05±0.97mmol/L;1.44±0.56mmol/L,1.39±0.49mmol/L; 2.29±0.75mmol/L,2.47±0.96mmol/L.Statistics showed that the observation group compared with the control group neurological deficit score lower (P<0.01), increased serum adiponectin (P<0.01), decreased plasma endothelin (P<0.05), TC decreased (P<0.05), TG decreased(P<0.05) and LDL-C decreased (P<0.05).Conclusion: Songling Xuemaikang capsule regulate the increase in serum adiponectin, the decrease in plasma endothelin, TC, TG and LDL-C to treat acute cerebral infarction.
