Objective:Applying the model of stable angina (the syndrome of phlegm and blood stasis in TCM), to explore the development of self rating scale; evaluate its reliability, validity and responsiveness. Thus, provide the patients a quantitative tool for self evaluation while enabling the researchers to evaluate the therapeutic effect.Method:First of all, using the methods which psychology scale research applied both domestic and abroad while referring to related research and literature study, large sample epidemiological datareview, expert discussion and items analysis;Secondly, Change items based on the Delphi method, depth interview method and clinical pilot survey. At the same time, get items description through clinical research combining experts discussion;Thirdly,evaluate its reliability, validity and responsiveness to make further revisions. The final step is to establish the scale of stable angina (the syndrome of phlegm and blood stasis in TCM).Results: The scale contains two dimensions and seven items. The total reliability coefficient,the two dimensions and the facet are 0.805,0.833, 0.852 and 0.824 respectively; half reliability coefficient are 0.819,0.849,0.518 and 0.862 respectively; Cronbach’s Alpha coefficients are0.787,0.788,0.517 and 0.814 respectively; Factor analysis extracts three male factors whose cumulated variance contribution is 62.096%. This observation is in good agreement with structure and theoretical conception hypothesis. The scale has good reactive degree, meaning it can be distinguished between different groups of patients. Conclusion:First of all, the scale is proven to have good reliability, validity, and reactivity. In addition, the contribution to assessment of treatment effectiveness needs to be supported by data of large-scale clinical epidemiological investigation. Finally, even though the scale is quite functional, it requires constant verifications through its practical applications in researches.
