Abstract


Objective: To investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of glucosamine hydrochloride and prospects for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in combination with methotrexate . Methods : adjuvant arthritis ( Adjuvant arthritis AA) SD rat study ( AA group) , and by the hydrochloric acid glucosamine ( Glucosamine hydrochloride GH) treatment (GH group) , methotrexate ( Methotrexate, MTX) therapy (MTX group ) , and by glucosamine hydrochloride in combination with methotrexate treatment (GHM group) compared to the establishment of the blank control group , n = 10 . Measurement of left and right hind leg volume ; rats left ankle joint paraffin sections , HE staining , optical microscopy of articular cartilage and synovium ; enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in serum tumor necrosis factor - α ( tumor necrosis factorα, TNF-α) of the content. Results: continue secondary reaction the the measured rat ankle Tiles observed under the microscope to see the model group, lymphocytic infiltration , cartilage necrosis , cartilage disintegration serious than the drug group , but can not be statistically analyzed due to slice reasons . Compared with the AA group in the secondary reaction the GH, MTX and GHM groups left , right hind leg volume and serum TNF-α levels decline and the differences were statistically significant (P lt; 0.05 or P lt; 0.01), but no significant difference in the interaction of GH with MTX (P gt; 0.05). Conclusion: This study shows that glucosamine hydrochloride in rat adjuvant arthritis , can ease its potential to have anti-inflammatory effects and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis .
