Purpose: through respectively for every effect in patients with primary dysmenorrhea umbilical method and starch moxibustion isolation method of treatment, observation of the two methods in patients with primary dysmenorrhea symptoms, compared two groups of curative effects, to verify the effect of drugs on umbilical therapy, and explain the mechanism of umbilical therapy. Methods: 63 patients with primary dysmenorrhea were randomly divided into two groups, which lies between drug moxibustion umbilical group of 31 cases, control group 32 cases and observe the change of the symptom scores before and after treatment, compared the difference between two groups. Results: isolate starch moxibustion medicine umbilical group and moxibustion group umbilical dysmenorrhea symptom scores compared with before treatment, showed significant difference (P lt; 0.05). The comparison between the two groups, in the first cycle of leg pain, diarrhoea and irritability symptoms appeared significant difference (P lt; 0.05), other cycles without significant difference (P gt; 0.05). Conclusion: umbilical therapy can significantly improve symptoms of dysmenorrhea patients with primary dysmenorrhea, and long term effect is good, low recurrence rate. Every effect, by contrast, umbilical and every other starch moxibustion effect basic quite, in the first cycle, improve the symptoms of leg pain, irritability every effect on umbilical is superior to the separated starch moxibustion, to improve the symptoms of diarrhea separated starch moxibustion on umbilical is superior to the separated effect.
