Abstract


The paper adopts a structure of overview type and introduces the author’s opinions and understandings by introduction and comment on research achievements of some academic matters concerning landscape sculpture and relevant subjects. In respect of the history and current status of existing landscape sculpture design, the paper explains the creation and application of landscape sculpture design in urban open space, introduces the open space theory into the landscape sculpture design field, discusses in depth the relationship among form, aesthetics and design and induces some rules and laws of practical importance to the landscape sculpture design, in an aim for driving the landscape sculpture design to form a systematic discipline standard. It can therefore open a research idea for the situation which is not standardized in the construction process of current landscape sculpture and a practical reference complying with the current status of landscape sculpture construction. The paper includes introduction, analysis on basic concepts, and research on landscape sculpture design problems in urban open space and research conclusion on landscape sculpture design in urban open space.Chapter one elaborates the purpose and significance of the paper, theoretical background, current status and problems of the subject at home and abroad, research contents, problems to be solved and research methods.Chapter two starts with the analysis on basic concepts of key words, and then analyzes the basic concepts based on overview of literatures, including the analysis of basic concepts on urban open space and landscape sculpture, which is vital importance to the discussion of the paper.Chapter three discusses the noumenal, aesthetic and design problems of landscape sculpture according to the basic rules of design arts through combining the theoretical study and case study and learning relevant theoretical research achievements of neighboring subjects. It discusses the common problems to be solved by landscape sculpture design in the construction of city’s visual culture, proposes the systematic construction method for modern landscape sculpture design and provides systematic ideas and schemes for the major links of landscape sculpture design.Chapter four classifies the problems of common rule and proposes the guiding idea and systematic framework for modern landscape sculpture design based relevant theories, which is the national, harmonious, ecological and cultural conclusion to landscape sculpture design and the basic opinions of guiding importance to landscape sculpture design.
