Abstract


With the rapid development of the network and communication technology, the exchange of the image information in the network is becoming more and more popular and at the same time the problem of the security and secrecy of image information is more and more important. Encryption is one of the important methods to ensure the safety of the image information.There are many disadvantages on the traditional encryption algorithms , so the new theoretical study of image encryption is becoming an international hot subject.In the recent years, the use of chaos theory in secrecy communications is gained great attention. As a deterministic pseudo-random process in a non-linear dynamical system, Chaos phenomenon widely exists in natural world; chaotic system is extremely sensitive to initial conditions, which can produce a large number of non-periodic and continuous broadband spectrums, noise-like and reproduced chaotic signals. These signals are shadowing, long-term unpredictability, high complexity and easy implementation, which can accord with the need of the cryptology. Because of the large quantity and high redundant of the image information,the traditional encrytions are challenged.There are many advantages of chaos cryptogram in image information encryption ,which makes the application of the chaos cryptogram on the image information encryption an important research field in information science and technology.Firstly,the chaos theory and the cryptology knowledge were described, and the application of chaos theory in the cryptology wass discussed. Secondly, several traditional image encryption technology were introduced and several algorithms of image encryption based on the chaos theory were researched.Then advantages and disadvantages of the algorithms were analyzed respectively. Finally, a new image encryption algorithm based on multi-chaotic system was put forward and the simulation experiment is done. Then various performances were analyzed. The result of the simulation experiment shows that the algorithm has a large key spaces.And cryptograph is sensitive to key .and has good statistical properties.
