Abstract


With the development of modern optical fiber communication technology , information transmission rate continues to accelerate , the transmission distance been on the increase , while the impact of polarization effects in the optical fiber for optical fiber communication systems is no longer able to be ignored . Therefore, to explore and master the evolution of the polarization state of the optical fiber is crucial to solve the limitations of the polarization effects of optical fiber communication systems of fiber polarization state generation and detection is the key . Developed an extrusion-based fiber birefringence effect of the electric polarization state generator ; the excessive components for the current state of polarization test methods , given a relatively simple four-channel Stokes parameters test methods . The main work includes: 1 optical fiber polarization state generation and detection of development in the world of research , given the extrusion-based fiber polarization state of the optical birefringence effect occurred principles and four-channel Stokes parameter test Fundamentals . 2 produced a set of optical fiber polarization state generating system , including an extruded fiber designs based on software simulation platform and a rise time on the order of magnitude of microseconds (Enter 1kHz ) output 0 - 200V high linearity adjustable three-channel piezoelectric ceramic arbitrary polarization state of output drive power , the system can be tested , good dynamic response in the low-speed ( 1 ms ) pulse modulation . The design of the polarization state of the photoelectric detection system detecting circuit .
