Abstract


In over 30 years of reform and opening up , the practical experience and theoretical studies have shown that China's use of FDI , FDI to promote China 's foreign trade and economic growth . But because of China 's regional economic development and serious non - equilibrium of FDI distribution of its effect also exists a significant difference , and become one of the key reasons for the balanced development of the regional economy . FDI distribution of non - equilibrium is not only reflected in the different economic regions , but also in the different provinces in the region , specific performance differences for the inter-provincial trade effects of FDI . FDI policy in the context of the current central China , the six central provinces must face up to the effects of inter-provincial differences of FDI trade , and accordingly the development and implementation of appropriate economic policies in order to promote economic growth . In this paper, FDI, international trade and relations between the two theories , from the scale of foreign trade dependence on foreign trade , trade , export products constitute of FDI absolute and relative amount and distribution of FDI in the industry , six central provinces foreign trade and FDI status quo . The study showed that the six central provinces that showed significant differences in the foreign trade and FDI . Empirical panel data model and the choice of the form of the model based on the unchanged coefficient panel data model of the six provinces in the central effects of FDI in total foreign trade , export effect and import effects empirical analysis , based on the panel data model with variable coefficients trade six central provinces FDI the effect of inter-provincial differences . The results showed that the trade effects of FDI in the central provinces there were significant differences , the six central provinces only Hunan Province have complementary effects of FDI on exports and imports , Hubei and Jiangxi FDI , have complementary effects on imports , FDI trade effects of the other provinces are not significant. Market size and economic openness in the control variables significantly affect the play of the trade effects of FDI . According to the distribution of FDI inter-provincial differences , combined with the six central provinces of foreign trade and FDI status , made ??a number of policy measures in order to better play the role of FDI in promoting international trade and economic growth , and the Rise of Central China and the coordinated development of the economy as a whole .
