Hainan Island is located in the southernmost tip of South China plate, in the Eurasian Plate, Indian Plate and the Philippine Plate border area, since the Mesozoic tectonic evolution has a complex geological history. In this paper, paleomagnetism and Technology on Hainan Island since the late Mesozoic tectonic evolution were studied to explore the Indochina Peninsula and the South China Block tectonic evolution of eastern Asia continental accretion, provide the basis for evolution of the continental margin. Hainan Island Bay Late Cretaceous deer female group (K 1 l) and reported Wan group (K 2 b) for the continental clastic. Mother deer Bay group lithology is mainly conglomerate, feldspar quartz sandstone, siltstone and mudstone. Million group reported lithology purple pink feldspar fine sandstone conglomerate folder, shale. Bay group for female deer directional samples and reported 298 million group 190 samples were oriented paleomagnetic studies. IRM shows a low saturation magnetization and high coercivity magnetic susceptibility varies with temperature of 675 ℃ shows the characteristics of the Curie point, indicating that the carrying magnetic minerals hematite. Thermal demagnetization results show samples showing 1-2 group remanence component (a component into viscous remanence, another group is characterized by remanence direction). Samples more in between 650 ℃ -680 ℃ unblocking. Fold test through a variety of high-temperature components, baking inspection and consistency check, indicating a primary remanence. Early Cretaceous paleomagnetic data is D = 8.3 °, I = 45.2 °, a 95 = 5.7; Late Cretaceous paleomagnetic data is D = 30.2 °, I = 39.7 °, a 95 < / sub> = 4.8. Cenozoic basalts from Hainan Island to get a 233 directional core samples, carrying magnetic mineral magnetite-based. Thermal demagnetization results showed 1-2 group sample magnetic component, NRM-200 ℃ receded low viscous remanence after modern, high-temperature components in the 540-560 ℃ unblocking. The reversal test, the same test showed that the high-temperature component is probably a primary remanence. Neogene magnetization direction D = 3.2 °, I = 35.8 °, a 95 = 4.8; Pleistocene magnetization direction is D = 3.9 °, I = 30.4 °, a 95 sub > = 3.2; Holocene paleomagnetic results were D = 8.2 °, I = 34.0 °, a 95 = 9.9. Hainan Island since Late Mesozoic paleomagnetic results show that since the Early Cretaceous to Late Cretaceous, Hainan land southward drift occurs simultaneously 21.8 ° counterclockwise rotation; Late Cretaceous to Neogene, plots and accompanied by continued southward drift with 27.0 ° clockwise rotation; Neogene to Pleistocene land continues southward drift. Since the Pleistocene, the overall trend plots of Hainan Island northward drift. Hainan block this form of exercise and the Pacific subduction zone retreat in the eastern part of the Eurasian plate, Hainan large scale NE-trending extensional faults and volcanic activity corresponds development.
