Abstract


With the widespread use of the new media, media technology, domestic and foreign scholars to the use of new media to the new generation of migrant workers in the empirical research is lacking, although the current generation of migrant workers, \The title is also frequently appeared in the mass media and academic research horizons, but specifically for the new generation of migrant workers groups, self-identity research is still in the blank in the new media environment. To this end, the study uses qualitative research methods to the modern vision of identity recognition for research perspective, agree on the identity of the next generation of migrant workers in the new media environment to conduct studies on the generation of migrant workers in the context of the global information technology , daily life, social relations, and self-identity experienced the change process, to help deepen understanding of the peasant-workers, especially the new generation of migrant workers groups status from the side, to explore new media in the daily lives of the new generation of migrant workers in the social sense, for in-depth study of the issue of migrant workers in China to provide a point of reference of the revelation. This study proposes that the core problem is: the new generation of migrant workers did not show consistency and similarity of views on the social characteristics (such as identity, career and life, etc.), and whether they recognized the \ascriptive identity? If you do not recognize them and how to look at their social status? in this one, such as mobile phones, computers and other new media plays what role? whether new media can answer for the generation of migrant workers. \who contributed to the severity of the effect, or more blurred their positioning? same time, the research hypothesis is proposed in this paper: the new media environment, generation of migrant workers prefer not recognized by the system is set to give them species identity of farmers, given more updated interpretation and meaning of their own identity. The study found that the new generation of migrant workers on the use of new media has not only stay in the most elementary level, the use of large-scale use of the technology, as mobile phones, the Internet and other new media to spread. They are not only the use of new media as a tool to maintain a personal social network, more as a personality show, a stage of self-expression. Generation of migrant workers spread of new media technology initiative adopted and widely used, their self-identity is blurred to some extent.
