Abstract


UV curing technology has a huge advantage in terms of energy saving , environmental protection, and efficient production is more and more widely used in telecommunications, printing and packaging, computer , electronic and decoration industries. The photoinitiator is an important part of the UV curing system , carbazolyl photoinitiator is a novel two-photon photoinitiator , the two-photon absorption cross section , preferably photoinitiator characteristics . Synthesis of a Carbazole oxime ester photoinitiator agent - 1 - (6 - O-methyl - benzoyl -N- ethyl- carbazole ) -1 - ethanone oxime ester , to explore a reasonable synthesis routes and optimum process conditions in comparison to the synthesis of other carbazolyl photoinitiator provides a theoretical and practical experience , specific process operates as follows : first ethylcarbazole as raw material, o-methyl benzyl chloride and acetyl chloride as the acylating reagent , the AlCl 3 < / sub > for the catalyst successively ethyl - carbazole- o- methyl- benzoyl group and the acetylation reaction to give 3 - acetyl-6 - o methyl- benzoyl -N- ethyl carbazole . In the reaction of o- methylbenzoyl , using less than the molar amount of raw materials the AlCl 3 < / sub > will be able to complete conversion of the raw material , while avoiding the occurrence of side reaction symmetrical diacyl . And by a \to contamination. Then , using hydroxylamine hydrochloride , under the effect of sodium acetate , 3 - acetyl-6 - o- methyl- benzoyl -N- ethyl carbazole oxime to give 1 - ( 6 - O-methyl - benzoyl -N - ethyl - carbazole ) -1 - ethanone oxime. The esterification reagent the oximation reaction byproduct acetic acid can be used as the subsequent esterification reaction , using a \the contamination of the produce , the last to give 1 - ( 6 - o-methyl -benzoyl - N- ethyl- carbazole ) -1 - ethanone oxime ester . Total yield of the above reaction is 76.9% , the resulting product 1 - ( 6 - O-methyl -benzoyl - N- ethyl- carbazole ) -1 - ethanone oxime , ethyl detected as 99.1% purity by HPLC , the structure was confirmed by 1 H-NMR, 13 C-NMR and IR verify correct .
