Abstract


With the booming of the ocean shipping business, electronic chart has become an important tool to ensure the safety of navigation. Advances in technology and the development of science and technology makes the electronic chart gradually replace paper charts with its convenient storage, storage capacity, and easy to modify. The system will not only be able to comprehensive information such as radar, sonar, compass, GPS, and can facilitate the realization of the mariners on the job. Electronic chart display system involves a number of key technologies, such as the document parsing ENC, the design of the system electronic navigational charts (SENC), the chart data retrieval, Mercator projection and Gaussian projection theory algorithm, chart cut display . This research project focused on the display of ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System), mainly to study the chart display some of the key technologies involved, the use of VC development of key technologies in the system. First introduced charts the emergence and development, and a brief description of the ECDIS concept, composition, function, and analysis of the development status of the system at home and abroad. This study is a theoretical model of the S-57 format charts document, data structures and packaging standards, to clarify the characteristics of the S-57 format chart data. And use an example to illustrate the ENC encoding;-depth analysis of the design of the necessity of SENC, namely the necessary ENC resolution, SENC basic design principles and general requirements; seriously based on the study of existing literature, a kinds of the SENC format design program; Finally, the actual coding as an example of the program is described in detail.
