Abstract


In this paper, through questionnaires, individual interviews with the students in the form of Thailand made a survey of Chinese Pragmatic Failure. Survey content is divided into verbal communication and non-verbal pragmatic failures both pragmatic failure, where the former and from pragmalinguistic failures and social aspects of pragmatic failure two visits, non-verbal pragmatic failures mainly from the body language, Vice-language, object language and environment to examine four aspects of language. The survey found that Thai students' language pragmatic failures are: pay attention to stress and intonation in Chinese communicative role; has cultural meaning for pronouns and using the wrong words; affected by the native word order in Chinese when used to apply language syntax mode; idioms that improper use of blunders. Social Pragmatic Failure mainly in the comments do not use type greeting, greeting appellation type does not meet the Chinese habit; requesting behavior Thais first apologize, then the request; compliment, compliment, the Thai people prefer to compliment the facing the compliment, you can not respond positively to change strategy on the implicit compliment often mistakes; in the invitation, the invitation can not distinguish between genuine and non-genuine invitation: In terms of Thanks and can not distinguish between obligations and rights, \Chinese people. The survey also found that non-verbal communication in Thai students Pragmatic Failure is more, mainly in: body language, deputy language, object language and the language environment in four areas. Based on the survey, this article from cultural factors, cognitive and personal factors and other subjective aspects and teachers, textbooks and other objective aspects of Thai students Pragmatic Failure causes are analyzed in detail. Cultural differences including ways of thinking, worldview and values ??differences, cognitive factors including imagery to highlight and recognize the script, personal factors are students themselves reasons, such as not using the Chinese context, cultural identity contradictions. Cultural differences among students in Thailand the main reason for pragmatic failures occur. Teacher reasons mainly in the Chinese language teachers to use sensitivity is not strong, one-sided understanding of the concept of culture, foreign students appear on Pragmatic Failure tolerant attitude aspects; textbook problems mainly in the pertinence strong, pragmatic content does not meet the English language with a habit of some speech acts answer a single, rarely involves non-verbal communication and so on. By analyzing some suggestions: To strengthen students' pragmatic abilities, to strengthen the training of teachers of Chinese, Thai students develop in line with the characteristics of Chinese learning materials and so on.
