Abstract


Zhang Xin’novels concern the secular life, which gives human care to the two sexes of real-life. She consoles the city people with the unique emotional power, exploring the development and change of sexual relations in the creation. At the narrative text, we caught up with the myth of the writer to sexual relations, and it has become initial impetus to exploring gender relations of Zhang Xin’novels.Gender relations are the most natural relationship between people, which is the embodiment of human civilization and human self-cognition. Postmodern Feminist Criticism holds that gender relations are the most basic power relations, borrowing Foucault’s power discourse theory. The paper will study gender relations of Zhang Xin’novels in view of contemporary female literature, trying to find real gender position of the writer, parsing gender consciousness existent situation of Zhang Xin’creation, and finding her active efforts in literary creation for character image-building and the construction of gender relations.This paper is divided into five parts:The background and significance of topic selection are discussed in introduction, studying the research status of Zhang Xin’novels, showing the possibilitiy of further exploration based on the previous studies and cutting in Zhang Xin’writing from gender relations. The chapter one discusses the construction mode of gender relations and the participating factors of construction in the text. The chapter two analyzes the breakthrough of female images and sexes writing from three aspects, which contains female self-indentification、recognition and pefection, sexual relations alienation and sexes care, it is considered that Zhang Xin protrudes female consciousness at the background of traditional disharmonious sexual relations, thinking about sexes in a weak position and changes of sexual relations, outpouring the idea which pursuing sexes harmony. The chapter three analyzes description and manifestation which identifing with traditional gender culture in the text from two aspects, one is sexes expression under moral ideals and family concept, the other is discourse statement which concealed in male perspective. It is considered that Zhang Xin is difficult to get rid of patriarchal discourse in the creation, showing the attachment to traditional culture. Conclusion reviewed and concluded the full paper, generalizing the unique significance of gender relations construction mode in Zhang Xin’novels, and the limitation of Zhang Xin’creation. The writer leads readers to construct healthy gender consciousness through the creation which providing new and harmonious gender relations, then promoting the improvement of gender relations in real life, and achieving the ideal of the harmonious coexistence of two genders.
