Mobile satellite communication system can meet the needs of carriers’ communication under any circumstances. The design of the platform based on three-axis self-determination tracking system is the core technology of mobile satellite communication. It could isolate the interrupts brought by the carriers, and keep the antenna in alignment with the satellite. This paper includes some research work as follows:1.The control design proposal is given aiming at the marine mobile satellite communication, including the mechanical structure design, and the choose of devices and system composition.2.By analyzing the feature of the gyroscopes’ signal, elliptic filtering method and recursive least squares polynomial fitting method are proposed and used to the system including the static and dynamic circumstances. The result of simulation confirm that the recursive least squares polynomial fitting method is more suitable to the platform.3.To solve the three-axis tracing control method problem in the platform, several control tactics are presented. Through analyzing the different tactics, the method of azimuth-elevation axis closed loop and cross level axis feedforward compensation is used to the system.Focusing on the azimuth system, the intelligent partition PID control method and the sliding mode control method is adopted to control it. Besides, the simulation result is given.4.The software of the whole system is designed, which includes system’s initialization module, stabilization tracking module and the monitoring module. Also, the method of how to realize them is proposed.5.The platform works well under the disturbances, which is supplied by the three-axis motion simulator. The error curves conform the advantages and shortcomings of the different control strategies. Finally, the research results are summarized, and future research is given.
