Abstract


Objective : To explore the wide range of tumor resection prosthesis replacement therapy femur malignant tumors , summarize the occurrence of complications . Methods : Retrospective analysis of the First Affiliated Hospital , Zhejiang University School of Medicine Orthopaedics from September 2004 to September 2009 among 14 cases of bone tumors limb salvage surgery the tumor type artificial hip joint reconstruction femur clinical data , including metastatic tumors 8 cases of malignant lymphoma , osteosarcoma one case , one case of chondrosarcoma , malignant fibrous histiocytoma one case , leiomyosarcoma , giant cell tumor of bone . Postoperative functional evaluation using MSTS93 score. Results: The patients were followed up for 5 to 62 months, an average of 23 months. 5-year survival for all patients was 43% . In which a postoperative infection, two patients had postoperative dislocation of the hip , hip dislocation patients were rebuilt , and 1 patient with local recurrence , one case of periprosthetic fracture , implant survival at 5 years was 79 % . 14 patients MSTS score was (20.8 ± 3.8) points. Conclusion: femur after resection of malignant bone tumors using artificial prosthesis reconstruction of bone defects , fewer complications , allows early rehabilitation training , postoperative hip function well as a femur after resection of malignant bone tumor reconstruction method of choice .
