Abstract


In recent years, ontology is studied and applied in many fields of research and application widely. For example: knowledge management, digital libraries, information retrieval and other fields. With the increase of ontology, It is inevitable that the ontology appear different in the same field which are created by the founders. It is ontological heterogeneity.How to resolve ontological heterogeneity, to achieve knowledge sharing and reuse, Ontology mapping is the most effective way to solve ontological heterogeneity, Ontology mapping is to find the corresponding relationship between the ontology, and elements of an ontology elements can be found in another ontology. Currently, Ontology mapping is studied wiedly.,and raised a number of ontology mapping methods,But ontology mapping based on formal concept analysis is study narrowly.Formal concept analysis is a branch of mathematics, The concept is described from two aspects of extension and intension, which achieve semantic information that the computer can understand.and form the concept hierarchical structure, namely, concept lattice. The ontology is used to embody the concept and the relationship between the concepts. So we can combine them together, Using mathematical thought of formal concept analysis we represent the concept and form a formal conceptual model. Formal concept analysis has many advantages.Beginning of this article is the introduction and the theory, The main contents are: the background and significance of the research; current situation of ontology mapping approaches;the main contents and innovation; Related theory:Ontology, ontology mapping , formal concept analysis。Then this thesis analyzes the existing ontology mapping method , Particularly,those based on formal concept analysis,and summarize their shortcomings. On this basis, this thesis Propose a ontology mapping model based on formal concept analysis, This model includes the process model based on formal concept analysis and ontology mapping framework based on formal concept analysis.The last two chapters, First, the detailed ontology mapping process is elaborated in detail, and the advantages and limitations of the method is analyzed. Finally, it take the transportation domain ontology for an example to complete ontology mapping,and prove the feasibility of the method.this thesis promote the research of ontology in the field of Library and Information and computer, However, there are many shortcomings in this paper, further research needs to be done.
