A video - based traffic detection system . Use Vistual Studio 2008 as the development environment , combined with the development of Microsoft DirectShow Video Processing Library and Intel's OpenCV image processing library . Obtained after each video frame image , it grayscale and smoothing preprocessing operation , and then using the interframe difference method and dynamic update of the background difference method are combined to extract the vehicle where interested region, and the final two value binary region of interest . Then, we adopted the method of A method of detecting line on which the vehicle detecting operation , and through the adaptive adjustment method of the rectangle , the continuous process of the vehicle into the vision correction , and established in the vehicle eventually completely into the screen when the model of the vehicle , the color of the vehicle is initialized histogram. Through into good coordinate points have been measured to perform the calibration of the camera , thereby obtaining the coordinates of the mapping relationship in the real world and the image projection , and then calculate the vehicle on the real road speed . After based on the motion prediction assessment of vehicle tracking , the prediction area of the vehicle is a combination of the size and orientation of the vehicle speed , and evaluate the use of the method of combining color histogram distance and the two-valued information . The experimental results show that the three different scenarios , the proposed method in the general equipment running smoothly , it can meet the requirements of real-time , and accuracy and adaptability are better , more than 90% for the accuracy of the vehicle , and be able to get a variety of valuable traffic information such as traffic flow, speed , traffic conditions and illegal .
