Abstract


With the development of net communication technology and INTERNET, Office Automation System (OAS) plays a more and more important role in institution’s daily work. OAS is vital in improving work efficiency, scientific and accuracy of decisions, levels of comprehensive management and abilities to compete.The design and development of this system is based on web technology to meet the actual needs of computer science and technology department of Shandong College of Electronic Technology. We use object-oriented methods and Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling, Browser/Server (B/S) architecture and the Window Server 2003+IIS6.0+ASP.NET Framework as the development platform, SQL Server 2000 as back-end database. The ASP.NET front-end was developed in Visual Studio 2005. The function of this system is to release and check posts, upload and download files, manage teaching and scientific research, supervise address lists and incoming/outing mails, sign-in and out of work.At first, this paper makes a feasible statement of functional and non-functional requirements by analyzing its development demands and current status quo and processes a systematic design based on demand analysis. Then the database is exported to a system static model class diagram and gives a detailed description of the design and implementation of major functional modules and the realization of its safety mechanism. Finally, the paper summarizes the situation of its application. This system runs stably and improves teaching office efficiency and quality, and meets expected goals.
