Abstract


A red card car was born from 1959 to today, China's auto industry has gone through more than 50 years. After 50 years of development, China's automobile industry has become a pillar industry of the national economy, formed a relatively complete automotive product lines and production system. When so mouth China has become the world's second largest producer and distributor, although the results were impressive but China's auto industry still exist many problems, too large degree of vertical integration is one of them. In this paper, the main line to the automotive industry development course provides an overview of research on the theory of vertical integration of domestic and foreign scholars. Auto companies choose vertical integration, in fact, is an enterprise boundary choice measure various aspects of cost-benefit, will be arranged according to their own strategic preferences of the transaction governance structure, so that the enterprises themselves through literature review maximize the benefits of vertically integrated companies have chosen a way of governance structure, vertical integration, corporate transactions into business insider trading, insider trading mainly by the authority to coordinate. In this paper, then China's auto industry vertical integration behavior were analyzed. First of all, through the analysis of China's auto industry vertical integration is there for a reason, this is because: first, incomplete industry value chain for China's vertical integration provides a larger space for development; Second, the market economy the imperfect development of the market trading higher cost. Secondly, through theoretical analysis of the particularity of the Chinese vertical integration is unknown property rights of Chinese auto companies its mixing faced competition. Chinese auto companies is not clear property rights to corporate management in the matter of choice on the boundaries of the firm will deviate from the goal of maximizing corporate profits, vertical integration may become a means of management of individual utility maximization. In addition, most of the senior leadership of the state-owned enterprises in China's auto has official, has also become an important factor in decision-making by expanding the size of the business to increase their own political advancement chips. Economic and political competition in the mixed environment further exacerbate this effect. Due to the high correlation of the automobile industry, you can effectively promote the development of the local industrial economy, increase employment, district officials expect the automobile industry led to the region's economic development. And in order to highlight their own achievements in the promotion of competition in a dominant position, the local officials will take some protective measures in order to nurture local enterprises, which will to some extent caused by the automobile market region segmentation, redundant construction, thus affecting the car industrial efficiency. Finally, using the DEA model, regression model on the above theoretical analysis was verified. IO method is also used to measure the degree of vertical integration of China's automobile industry 1994-2004. This article concluded that vertical integration issues historical heritage, vertical integration is to promote the development of the automobile industry in the early stage of development of China's automobile industry, but intensified with the gradually expand the scale of China's automobile industry and global integration, China's auto industry degree of vertical integration has been difficult to integrate with the world auto market, the degree of vertical integration is too large has affected the development of China's automobile industry.
