Abstract


Automotive industry is one of the six pillar industries in China. To compare to other related industries, it has a strong leading role which people always pay attention to. Industrial clusters is a very common economic phenomenon in our economic life. Industry clusters is a new form of economic organization. For the Shanghai Automotive Industry, the accumulation effect can largely improve the industry’s competitive advantage. The powerful international automobile industries are mostly built through the form of industrial clusters. As an important component of the world’s automobile industry cluster, China’s auto industry should learn from the successful development model to grow itself. Therefore, it is very important to reach on China’s automobile industry cluster.In this paper, the industrial cluster and related theory are taken in, and it is very important to the development of Shanghai automotive industry cluster. Shanghai Automotive Industry on the competitiveness of the cluster was analyzed.And then made a brief analysis to the development of the Shanghai automobile industry cluster environment at home and abroad. Porter’s diamond model are used in analyzing the favorable conditions of Shanghai automobile industry cluster development. And pointed out the problems in the development of the Shanghai automobile industry cluster. Give some suggestions on the development of Shanghai Automotive Industry Cluster.China’s auto market has great potential. After China’s accession to WTO, economic development favored them and the infrastructure are improved; people’s income is Increasing. All these factors also indicates that China’s auto output have to growing consumption.As China’s leading automobile, shanghai attracts almost all the world auto giants and Transnational Automotive Group to enter the Chinese automobile market. The competition of the automotive industry is more and more intense.Shanghai Automotive Industry developed rapidly. Anting Automobile industry base as a new automobile industry cluster in Shanghai has created conditions.Shanghai Automotive Industry Group holds a large share of the Chinese market, and almost take up the whole Shanghai’s market. The end of 2007, "the South-South cooperation", marks the potential for a domestic car company with super aircraft carrier was born.The integration of a number of second-tier auto parts manufacturers, vehicle, the initial prototype set up in Shanghai automobile industry. For future competitiveness has laid a strong foundation upheld.To the end of 2008, SAIC sold more than 1,826,000 vehicle. By the end of 2009 is to reach 2,726,000 sales. Although the sales in 2009 exceeded 2 million, this 2.72 million in sales, the largest contribution to the Shanghai GM and Shanghai Volkswagen. As we all know, these two one is the German auto giant and the other is the American auto supremacy.Look as Shanghai Automotive’s own Roewe brand, sold only 90,000 MG.Over the past economic crisis, countries have been hit hard the car industry, but Shanghai automobile industry is well developing. The "new" level due to state preferential policies for the acquisition of small cars. Shows that China’s auto industry development in the future there is also great uncertainty.How can the path of development in the future to continue to maintain industry leadership.How to achieve breakthrough own brand of Shanghai Automobile facing a big problem.
