Abstract


With the acceleration of the process of globalization and urbanization , urban style convergence phenomenon is becoming increasingly clear that a large number of the city's geographical features are disappearing , the shape of the city's character became increasingly the focus of attention . Thesis urban road landscape as the main object of study , elaborated urban road landscape is a major component of the urban road environment is also important open space in the city . Road landscape in the city not only to bear certain urban cultural functions , improve the organizational structure and function of the road space , but also to play a constructed urban landscape characteristics and personality , reflecting the role of urban culture . Create rich cultural characteristics of urban road landscape is one of the important means to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of modern life . Urban road landscape construction, should be a linear space theory guiding ideology , style to reflect the characteristics of the city as the main target . The study consists of three parts : The first part discusses the main concepts and features of the theory of linear space ; reflect the city's character elements and methods ; second part of the above discussion that road the the main linear space in the city as well as the urban road landscape is an important means of shaping the city's character ; third part , based on the theory of linear space , interpretation of the road landscape elements , cited how urban road landscape design to create a city's character , combined with analyzes instances . The paper highlighted the designer should continue through the theory of linear space to place meaning and space characteristics and strengthen the road , in line with the dual needs of the modern urban material culture .
