Abstract


Edgar Allan Poe ( 1809-1849 ) in the 19th century, the famous American writer , from 1832 Poe published his first short story, \more than 60 short stories , and the concern of death throughout the slope is always novels . Based on Edgar Allan Poe short story comprehensive expedition to explore the theme of death in Poe's short story of the performance as well as its causes. The theme of death in the novel is the object of this study , therefore this article Edgar Allan Poe 's short story as a whole to study , have as rich text data , and from the death -takers - proceed characters in the novel analysis , seeks to tease out the different characters in the novel has the similar form of death , and explore the reason why. This paper is divided into three chapters: the first chapter concerns the final step into the death of the hero , with \reasons, read through the text to prove the absence of rational , moral deletion and lack of love are these three root causes of death , and to explore more than a few missing in promoting the process of how the death of an impact . The second chapter concerns another type of hero , they live under the weight of death , but ultimately survived , can say that they have the critical experience of people killed in order to \Ji Ya \The third chapter proposes Poe 's death has a complex view of the change in point of view and from a literary inheritance , life experiences and other aspects investigated , and strive for a more comprehensive view of Poe 's death causes were analyzed. This paper mainly fictional as the starting point , combined with specific text analysis , both in order to examine different periods of time as the horizontal axis Poe described in the novel with different attitudes to death , and from the surface down to depth text phenomenon , try to analyze deep structure below the surface structure for the construction of the theme of death has what significance.
