Abstract


With the continuous expansion of the degree of opening up of China's banking industry , foreign banks in China the number of business institutions , asset size are increasing , foreign banks has become an important part of China 's banking system . The entry of foreign banks on the one hand to bring advanced technology , financial innovation methods , advanced management concept and mode of operation of certain demonstration of China's financial market spillovers , promote operational efficiency of commercial banks in China to improve . But on the other hand, in management, asset quality , human resources , product innovation an absolute advantage in foreign banks inroads into Chinese banks to bring heavy competitive pressures . Therefore , the combination of the actual situation in China , the paper , were analyzed on the basis of the efficiency of commercial banks , drawing international state-of-the-art the DEA methods ( data envelopment analysis ) 1995-2008 foreign banks , empirical research into the impact of bank efficiency . The results show that the entry of foreign banks promote China's commercial banks return on assets , return on equity , raising the level of non- interest income and risk management in the short run also increase the operating costs of the commercial banks in China , but the overall increase in our business the overall efficiency of the bank . Finally, the policy proposals put forward on the basis of China 's commercial banks to improve operational efficiency , optimize the structure of property rights , and optimize business structure , optimization of management methods and strengthen risk management .
