Abstract


The commercial banks operating performance evaluation problem has been a hot research topic in theoretical and practical circles . In the current economic globalization and financial internationalization progresses, the context of the deepening of the reform of China's financial system and fully opened , the increasingly fierce competition in China 's commercial banks and foreign banks in the same political and economic conditions . The majority of investors through horizontal and vertical comparison of the operating performance of the commercial banks in China , in order to determine the operating characteristics of the different commercial banks and inadequacies to provide decision-making basis for their investment . Firstly it explains the meaning of the Performance of Commercial Banks and Banking Business Performance evaluation clearly a special evaluation of the operating performance of the commercial banks , and commercial banks operating performance evaluation method for review and brief reviews below Empirical the analysis provides a theoretical support . By analyzing the problems and causes of the performance evaluation of existing operators , to design suitable for China 's commercial banks operating performance evaluation indicators and methods . Using factor analysis to evaluate the profitability , liquidity , safety and growth of 14 As of December 2009 , China 's A-share listed banks operating performance . The empirical results show that : Although the whole of the former state-owned listed banks operating performance than the poor performance of other joint-stock commercial banks , compared to its own change in the shares after the listing of the former state-owned commercial banks (excluding China Agricultural Bank ) operating performance has been greatly improved , and some of the former state-owned banks operating performance has gone beyond a small part of the joint-stock commercial banks . Finally, the results of empirical analysis to make relevant recommendations that the original state-owned commercial banks should improve the profitability and development capacity , effectively reducing the non-performing assets ; joint-stock commercial banks should focus on liquidity and security .
