Abstract


Economic globalization, the rapid development of science and technology while exacerbate the interdependence between the various countries of the world, but also makes the competing nations increasingly intense pursuit of the common goal to become the world promote economic growth. Foreign direct investment (FDI) is considered to be the most important international technology diffusion, is also the cheapest channels. With the acceleration of the globalization process and the progressive development of China's opening to the outside world, more and more of the total FDI inflows, technology diffusion effect is of great significance for promoting China's economic development. Based on FDI in the study on the basis of learn from other scholars from the point of view of the effect of technology diffusion, and related terms are defined, clear foreign direct investment, technology, technology transfer, technology spillovers and technology diffusion specific meaning as well as the proliferation of way way to sum up the technology diffusion effect of FDI on the host country and its influencing factors. In this paper, both direct and indirect effects of technology diffusion from FDI system study, analysis of China's technological progress and economic growth. Direct spillover effects of FDI, known as technology transfer, R \u0026 D investment from foreign-funded enterprises invested and foreign-funded enterprises industry structure point of view of a basic overview of China's foreign direct investment. Summarizes the direct effect of FDI technology diffusion, including the introduction of advanced technology and management experience, optimize the structure of export commodities, optimize the industrial structure and employment effects, and to promote the improvement of the quality of the human capital. Indirect spillover effects of FDI through demonstration and imitation, competition between the market before and after the pathway to the industry association, and the flow of human capital diffusion. In this paper, using quantitative analysis methods empirical study of FDI in China's technology diffusion effect, learn Cobb - Douglas production function of theoretical significance to China's gross domestic product (GDP) as the dependent variable, investment capital, labor, FDI, investment in fixed assets as well as human capital as the independent variable, select indicators, the 1986 - 2008 time series data for test results show that: FDI to China's economic growth and technological progress have positive spillover effects of FDI in China does have time lag. On this basis, summed up China's introduction and the problems encountered in the absorption of foreign capital and the introduction of FDI on how to better make suggestions to promote China's economic growth and technological progress and effective use of the the FDI technology diffusion effect.
