Abstract


1997 East Asian financial crisis, East Asia, setting off a climax of regional monetary and financial cooperation, and its East Asian regional trade and investment, when the degree of integration not very high in terms of trade and investment integration as a symbol of \emerge. Such regional financial cooperation in East Asia first, and goods and services market integration in the post-economic phenomenon in the early 2000s was seen as inconsistent with the law of economic development, caused an international academic doubt the mainstream economy. They believe that regional economic cooperation sequencing problem upside down, will exacerbate regional financial instability, which in turn would cause serious damage to the economy, and therefore can not be sustained. However, 14 years later, regional monetary and financial cooperation in East Asia has not died down, but has been further deepened. On the one hand, East Asia initially established its unique monetary and financial cooperation mechanisms, including: information communication and inter-regional financial supervision and coordination mechanism, a regional currency swap mechanism, and are actively trying to establish the Asian bond market direct financing mechanism. On the other hand, in some specific areas of monetary and financial cooperation has made breakthrough progress, especially in the long-awaited East Asian foreign exchange reserve has finally emerged in March 2010. However, monetary and financial cooperation in East Asia in the process has not been easy, far away targets. Although the information communication and coordination of regional financial supervision mechanism has been basically formed, however, a variety of arrangements overlap, has a \In order to prevent the financial crisis developed regions to reproduce the lender of last resort and emergency aid mechanism, from the \11 years, there are still many deficiencies. In the context of economic and financial globalization, China as an open developing country, like other countries in East Asia are facing trade, investment, financial liberalization brought opportunities and challenges. In particular, since 2008, by the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis triggered by the global financial turmoil and economic recession on the economic development of East Asian countries and financial stability has brought serious problems for the East Asian regional economic development prospects of adding a lot of uncertainties. Accession to the WTO, China and the world economy, especially the links between East Asian economies more closely. China as a major economic power in East Asia, it should always, unwavering support and active participation of regional monetary and financial cooperation in East Asia. This study hope for our country to better participate in regional monetary and financial cooperation in East Asia provide a valuable reference.
