Abstract

The first part of the tumor and peritumoral edema features and EEG and EEG topographic change correlation Objective: To analyze the characteristics and peritumoral edema with conventional relationship between EEG and BEAM for the treatment of cancer patients with cerebral edema provide clinical reference. Methods: peritumoral edema and the nature and size of the tumor relations, and 35 cases, respectively, in the treatment of brain tumor patients before and after surgery 3d, Section 8d a CT or MRI and EEG / BEAM inspection records and the corresponding volume of cerebral edema Conventional EEG, BEAM change process, and analyze the relationship between the two. Result: a brain tumor and peritumoral edema malignant tumor tissue correlation P lt; 0.05, correlation with tumor size P gt; 0.05. 2, EEG abnormal rate and positioning rates were 72.7% and 61.6 %, while BEAM were 88.9 percent and 82.8 percent, both statistically significant. 3, BEAM changes in θ band and brain edema into the linear correlation between the change in volume, mainly for cerebral edema θ with localized or diffuse band power increased. Conclusion: a brain tumor and peritumoral edema associated malignant tumor tissue, but no correlation with tumor size. 2, BEAM on brain tumors and brain edema and position detection rates are better than conventional EEG. 3, θ or θ wave band power with brain tumors, secondary brain edema after surgery there is a positive correlation. The second part of the brain contusion and swelling characteristics and changes in EEG and EEG topographic correlation Objective: To investigate the characteristics of brain edema and laceration and BEAM and EEG changes in correlation to the clinical treatment of cerebral edema basis. Methods: 40 patients with brain edema brain contusion extent the relationship between the duration of the peak, respectively, at the time of admission and trauma after 4d, 12d cranial CT, EEG and BEAM inspection records brain edema volume and the corresponding EEG, BEAM change process, and analyze the correlation between the two. Results: 1, severity of brain injury and brain edema duration peak correlation P gt; 0.05. 2, EEG and BEAM abnormal rates were 55.0% and 69.2%, both statistically significant. 3, EEG and BEAM of θ or θ wave band power changes and brain edema volume into a linear correlation between changes, mainly as cerebral edema with increased or θ θ wave band power limitations, diffuse increased. Conclusions: 1 study in this group of patients is not yet considered the severity of brain injury and brain edema peak period was positively correlated with the duration. 2, cerebral contusion after BEAM test results better than EEG. 3, θ or θ wave band power and cerebral edema secondary to cerebral contusion there is a positive correlation.
