Mechanism of Eggs Absorbability and Transportation Based on Machine Vision System

Abstract


With the raising of people living standard,the requirement of egg quality is higher than before. This paper proposed a new method to solve the problems in the sorting and grading process of eggs, The crank-rocker mechanism with vacuum suction disk was used to design a set of suction and transportation equipments for egg grading based on machine vision system. Contents specifically are following:1. The rocker handling agencies and chain conveyor mechanism are designed on the original basis of egg visual inspection equipment.By calculating ,the related technical parameters of the crank and rocker mechanism and the chain conveyor are determined, such as rocker swing range, rod length size, motor speed, roller size and so on.2. The vacuum suction, block distribution and the micro pump with suction cups are selected through stress analysis of the process of eggs adsorption and removal. The diameter and the shape of the vacuum suction cups, micro-pump vacuum, pumping speed and other related parameters are determined by calculating.3. Pro / E software is used for the virtual kinematic simulation, analysis of the acceleration changes of key parts in the transport position, and finally the convergence of suction part, moving part of the rocker and part of the chain conveyor is completed.4. The best match speed is fixed between eggs transportation and absorption agencies and visual detection equipment.FM counter is used to adjust the motor speed to control the velocity of rocker handling agencies so as to finalize the rocker rotational speed between the range of 12.7 ~ 14.5r/min when the best match speed is reached.5. Experiments in conditions of certain micro-pump vacuum and pumping speed and different speeds of the rocker proved that vacuum suction disk diameter and shape directly affect the adsorption effect of eggs. It is dentified that oval sucker has better suction and flat functions than bellows type sucker.
