Abstract


As national economy’s accelerator, logistics industry has great significance for optimization of resources, adjustment of economic structure, improvement of economic environment, increase in comprehensive national strength and competitiveness of enterprises, realization of sustainable development, promotion of fundamental change of economic system and growth way. As one of the important cities belong to Southern Jiangsu, the most powerful economic sector, Zhenjiang has obvious regional advantages, developed traffic network, advanced industrial structure, and has the basic of development of large logistics. With introduction of“logistics industry restructuring and revitalization plan”, and logistics planning of the Yangtze River Delta area and Jiangsu Province, it has a very important research value that how to promote the development of other industries, even the overall economy through the development of logistics industry.On the basis of the full study on the related theories and methods of logistics industry and logistics strategy, this article starts from study on macro environment and development status of logistics industry in Zhenjiang, then analyzes the shortage in logistics industry, together with it’s cause and predicts the logistics demands in Zhenjiang. Next, it analyzes Zhenjiang’s status in the Yangtze River, in addition compared with cities along the Yangtze River, and from another point of view, analyzes status of logistics industry in Zhenjiang’s overall economy. Based on above analysis, the paper fixed strategic location to Zhenjiang’s logistics industry by means of“SWOT”analysis. Finally, it proposed the strategy as well as measures from two perspectives: one is big logistics based on the Yangtze River, another is service logistics for local economy, with theory of regional economy and supply chain.The core part of this paper is strategic orientation on Zhenjiang’s logistics industry. In this section, it firstly fixed Zhenjiang’s position is the important supply chain point servicing for the Yangtze River, through analysis of comprehensive development ability of logistics industry and clustering, based on 20 cities in the Yangtze River. Next, it makes sure that logistics industry is the most powerful industry as the“support”and“engine”of Zhenjiang’s economy, using main theory of supply chain and means about industry economics. Last, based on the above, the comprehensive orientation is proposed combined with“SWOT”analysis and existed plan and policy, which can provide reference and indicate direction for subsequent proposition of the strategy and the measures.
