Three kernel decoction from "Analysis of Warm Disease" by wujvtong, the famous doctor in Qing Dynasty, is a classic formula esteemed by later people. It has broken away from the limit use of Warm Disease and extended the range of clinical medicine wildly. Many works about the use extension and curative effect of Three kernel decoction have been reported and make the formula more important. The paper’s theme is to get the results of the formula used in digestive system diseases.There are 73 pieces of the related documentary material in treating digestive system diseases by Three kernel decoction I gathered that deal with the 21 diseases. Out of the 1075 cases of digestive system diseases,301 are acute gastroenteritis,272 are gastritis,238 are dyspepsia,215 are constipation,49 are cholecystitis. The treatment of these cases showed marked progress. The efficiency of the 5 diseases are 100%,93.4%,95%,96.7%, and 91.8%. The rate of utilization of xingren, yiyiren,baikouren,banxia,houpo are also 96.8%. Yiyiren is used in most amount,40g, zhuye and tongcao are used in 3g at least.The last conclusion is that Three kernel decoction has good effects in treating digestive system diseases.
