Objective:Vascular Parkinsonism Disease (VPS) is the nervous system disease caused by the cerebrovascular factors. Till now the modern medicine hasn’t gotten effective methods to treat the disease. VPS belongs to the senile tremor syndrome category in Tradition Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM can get good effect when treating the disease. It can improve symptoms, and reduce the side-reactions and adverse reactions of the modern medicine. We do random control research on 60 patients who are suffering from VPS, collecting clinical information at different stages, and explore the effect of the Chinese herbs which have the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis.Methods:On the basis of choosing standards, we select 60 patients, which are divided into two groups including the trial group and the control group. Each group has 30 patients. The control group is given the conventional therapy, and the trial group is supplied with Dahuang Zhechong capsules additionally. It is given 4 granules one time and twice a day. In the conventional therapy the drugs which contain Bloodsucker, Horsefly insect, Grubs, Eupolyphaga are forbidden. We collect the information of UPDRS-III, modified Hoehn-Yahr staging, Schwab and England activities of daily life scale, the mean blood speed of the middle cerebral arteries (MCA), and the four diagnostic informations. We use the Medical Statistics methods of T test, ANOVA, Chi-square test and Signed-rank test to analyse the collected information.Results:1. The general therapeutic effect of the trial group is better than the control group (P<0.05).2. The change of the UPDRS-III score of the trial group is different comparing with the control group (P<0.05), and the control group hasn’t changed a lot(P>0.05). For the modified Hoehn-Yahr staging, the two groups haven’t got big difference (P>0.05). For the Schwab and England activities of daily life scale, the trial group improves the scores, and the control group has no improves. But the two groups don’t have significant statistical differences (P>0.05).3. For the main symptoms, the two group can improve the scores, but don’t have big difference (P>0.05). As for the accompanied symptoms, the two groups can improve them, and the trial group changes significantly comparing with the control group (P<0.05). The two groups can improve the four diagnostic information (P<0.05), but they don’t have significant difference (P>0.05). We analyze the change of frequency of the common symptoms, and get the results that the trial group has advantages in stiff limbs, insomnia and numbness of the limbs (P<0.05).4. We compare the mean blood speed of MCA, and find that the two groups can increase it (P<0.01). Comparing with the control group the trial group increases the mean blood speed much more (P<0.05).Conclusion:When treating VPS, the drugs with the effect of promoting blood circulation and expelling hypoatasis can be adopted as well as the conventional therapy. The drugs with such effects can alleviate the symptoms, especially the accompanied symptoms, and the mean blood speed of the MCA can be significantly improved. Our research can supply evidence of treating VPS to some extent.
