Abstract

The Yellow Sea is shallow waters of a special nature, has a strong summer thermocline. Field observations and SAR remote sensing research results show that the waters there is a powerful tide of half-day and full days in the waters of the western and northern part of the internal tide characteristics is essentially linear or weakly nonlinear, but in the waters of southeast Ministry of strongly nonlinear solitary wave and internal tide significant nonlinear fission. Special terrain of the South Yellow Sea, along the imaginary straight wall channels to establish a continuous layer of ocean Kelvin wave model, and generalized Korteweg-de Vries (GKdV) non-linear equation of the tidal wave in the Southern Yellow Sea waters sexual evolution of analog. Yellow Sea tidal wave of significant Kelvin wave nature, and the nonlinear evolution of the southern Yellow Sea is one of the important mechanism to generate internal solitary wave. In the South Yellow Sea along the imaginary straight wall channels to use continuous layer of the ocean within the Kelvin wave model, based on the results of a number of historical observations tidal wave of half-day and full days a preliminary numerical simulation. Vertical displacement ζ of the tidal wave in the first mode and the horizontal velocity u of the vertical distribution, as well as the vertical shear of horizontal velocity u, vertical distribution, meaningful results. Imaginary straight wall channels within the Kelvin wave model based on based on a continuously stratified ocean model use GKdV equations constitute the background flow field in the positive pressure trend (case positive pressure ebb current flood tide) and baroclinic circulation case, consider the first the Modal half days tidal wave from A stations (34 ° 4'N, 125 ° 6'E) and B stations (36 ° 34, N, 123 ° 51'E) west reflection and nonlinear evolution of the southwest and northwest. The simulation results show that: the wide continental shelf waters, including the role of the tidal wave and internal solitary wave propagation process background flow field is very important, and distinguish between background barotropic ebb current flood tide must obvious advantage of GKdV model; South Yellow Sea internal solitary wave concentrated in the southern part of the South Yellow Sea, the main internal solitary waves in its northern rarely strong background baroclinic circulation and strong in the southern part of the South Yellow Sea background of positive pressure trend, and at high tide periods (relative to the Korea Peninsula's west coast) basic the background baroclinic circulation and background barotropic trend direction the same, both in the northern part of the South Yellow Sea background flow are weak; in within tidal wave of internal solitary wave propagation process, nonlinear coefficient α and water depth, stratification state as well as the background flow field and other factors related not only depends on the size of the internal wave amplitude; addition, as a result of up to 0.75 m / s positive pressure trend spread from station A bit to the northwest half days after the tidal wave in an unstable state.
