Protect the ecological environment, step on the path of sustainable development, is the 21st century human common face theme, "green building" is the concept of sustainable development in architecture field. Facing our country construction production, high pollution present situation, the development of green building is imminent. In the present paper of green building cost and benefit on the basis of the research, according to the time value of capital economics, labor productivity theory, comprehensive consideration of the qualitative and quantitative indicators, from the green building of the whole life cycle cost, based on a complete technical and economic evaluation method and value engineering method, analyzes the current people to green building exist cognitive error reasons, for they really understand the green building to provide the theory basis, this paper also analyzed the domestic and foreign general situation of the development of green building in China, and points out that the existing problems in the development of green building, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures, for related departments to formulate policy to provide the basis, so as to promote the sustainable development of green building.
