Abstract


More and more Chinese construction engineering enterprises enter into international engineering market, there are fifty two Chinese construction engineering enterprises which are listed in the top 225 international contractors issued by Engineering News-Record (hereinafter called ENR) in 2009. Compared with Western construction engineering enterprises, Chinese construction engineering enterprises have more strength in low labor cost in competition. How to encourage more Chinese construction engineering enterprises go abroad? The first step is to obtain more engineering projects. Due to lack experiences in international tendering and lack knowledge of the process on international engineering project tendering, some Chinese construction engineering enterprises dare not go abroad and then affect them to carry out go abroad stratagem.Through analysis the data issued by ENR in 2009, this paper illustrate the top 10 by market, the top 10 by region in international construction market. Let Chinese construction engineering enterprises know the situation of latest international market and their competitors.Combined with actual Cambodian Vattanac Capital project, the paper descripts the detail processes including tendering process and tendering offer process. It is more practical for Chinese construction engineering enterprises to focus on the analysis the tender documents and the content of site visiting and the composition of Tender.
