Abstract

Plenty of light and heat resources in the South China cotton-growing areas in the study, research upland cotton, Sea Island cotton, and land and sea on the growth pattern of the hybrids, yield, quality and performance of heterosis and biennial Sea Island cotton and land and sea hybrids traits compare provide a reference for the cotton-growing areas in South China to promote the island cotton and hybrids of the land and sea boarders cultivation. Using seven land and sea hybrids F 1 , upland cotton, the one island cotton, as well as a biennial island cotton and a land and sea hybrid F 1 , a total of 12 material. Land and sea compared seven hybrids F 1 traits, land and sea hybrid a7 (77 / island cotton) Heterosis performance, and biennial island cotton land and sea hybrids Main Characters comparison. Draw the following main results: 1. 7 land and sea hybrids, hybrid combination of excellent production 77 / island cotton, A4 / sea island cotton, A5 / sea island cotton, excellent fiber quality hybrid combinations A5 / Sea Island cotton , A3 / Sea Island cotton, A2 / sea island cotton. 2 of land and sea hybrid heterosis performance: land and sea hybrids in the daily growth rate, plant height, stem diameter, seed index, boll number per plant, seed cotton yield, lint yield, body length and quality length, uniformity has a super pro advantage, Hpb rate were 11.39%, 12.00%, 14.24%, 11.54%, 93.98%, 97.17%, 66.34%, 10.70%, 10.09%, 4.43%; boll weight, infertility seed rate than strength traits on pro advantage pro-advantage rate of 22.88%, 25.10%, and 8.92%, respectively; lint percentage, short fiber content, the base metric count, micronaire traits showed negative parental advantage, negative to the mid-parent heterosis rate of -10.99% -62.69% -9.76% -1.37% -3.75%. A biennial Sea Island cotton and Main Characters of the land and sea hybrids comparison: the biennial Sea Island cotton, compared with the annual sea island cotton, stem diameter, seed index on somewhat less outside, in the rest of the yield-related traits have advantages lint high yield 64.97%; biennial land and sea hybrids in major yield traits than one year the hybrids are advantages of raw land and sea, which, significantly higher lint percentage and sterile seeds decreased significantly, to the lint yield significant increase of up to 94.11%. Annual sea island cotton and biennial island cotton, the annual land and sea hybrids biennial land and sea hybrid, fiber quality were not significantly different. The above results show that the 77 / island cotton, A4 / sea island cotton, A5 / Sea Island cotton three excellent hybrid combination of land and sea, land and sea hybrids even Hpb parent heterosis in yield and quality traits, the biennial Sea Island cotton and land and sea hybrid lint yield significantly improved the quality of the same island cotton, and land and sea hybrids and their boarders cultivation in the region has good prospects. The boarders of cotton cultivation and management methods and boarders from Growing is the important issue that needs further study.
